Although the Tigers jumped out to a two goal lead in the first period and despite the fact that they outshot the Commandos 40 to 32, Campbellton headed home Sunday with no points to show for their efforts. In an offensive surge which lasted about thirteen minutes in the second period, Dieppe flashed the red light five times. On a couple of occasions, the Tigers narrowed the gap to a single goal but never managed to get the equalizer. The game ended 8 to 5 with the last goal being an empty net tally.

had another strong game with two goals and an assist. Andrew Meredith (right photo) got third star selection for his strong play, scoring once and setting up two others. Kodi Estey (left photo) upped his points total as well, with a goal and two helpers. The other Tiger scorer was Bram Ericson. Assists were also credited to MacKenzie Kierstead (2), J.J. Allison, Kilabuc Qupee and Stephen Groom.
Miramichi was idle today and so the Tigers remain three points up on the Timberwolves. The next home game for Campbellton is Friday, Jan.27th when Dieppe pays a return visit. Come down to the Civic Center, enjoy some exciting hockey action and cheer for the Tigers.
En dépit d’une avance de deux buts en première période et de 40 lancés contre 32 en leur faveur, les Tigres sont rentrés à la maison dimanche soir, bredouille. Ça n’a prit que treize minutes aux Commandos pour compter 5 fois en deuxième période. Revenant de l’arrière à quelques reprises, les Tigres n’ont jamais pu niveler le pointage. Le match s’est donc terminé par le compte de 8 à 5 en faveur du Commando de Dieppe, comptant leur dernier but dans un filet ouvert.
Ce fut toutefois un fort match pour les numéros 14, Frankie Hart qui en plus d’une passe, a compté deux fois et Andrew Meredith, le numéro 19 qui lui, a amassé deux passes et un but et la troisième étoile du match. Kodi Estey a aussi compté une fois et a fait deux passes. Le dernier pointeur des Tigres fut Bram Ericson avec un but. Des passes ont été décernés à Mackenzie Kierstead (deux), J.J. Allison, Kilabuc Qupee et Stephen Groom une passe chaque.
Le Tigre reste quand même à trois points en avance sur le Timberwolf de Miramichi car celui-ci était inactif hier. Le prochain match des Tigres sera vendredi soir le 27 janvier au Centre Civique de Campbellton contre ces mêmes Commandos de Dieppe. On se verra au match!
